Individual Bun Flow Pack
Individual burger buns, dinner rolls or other suitable soft buns are wrapped using roll film. The feeding and sealing configuration is matched to bun dimensions, height and handling requirements.

Packaging options
Compare packaging formats available for the selected product and line configuration.
Individual burger buns, dinner rolls or other suitable soft buns are wrapped using roll film. The feeding and sealing configuration is matched to bun dimensions, height and handling requirements.
Multiple buns are aligned and arranged into groups before flow wrapping. Product spacing and feeding arrangements depend on bun dimensions, softness and the required quantity per pack.
Buns are arranged in suitable trays before horizontal flow wrapping. Tray dimensions and feeding arrangements depend on product shape, stability and packaging requirements.
Finished bun packs can be grouped and loaded into corrugated shipping cases using optional downstream case packing equipment.
Packaging process
Packaging stages depend on the product, pack format and selected line configuration.
Unwrapped buns are transferred from the upstream production equipment or feeding conveyor to the packaging line. The infeed arrangement depends on bun dimensions, height, softness and incoming product flow.
Buns are guided into the required position and spacing before packaging. Conveyor guides and transfer timing are adjusted according to product dimensions and handling requirements to limit unnecessary contact and compression.
Multiple buns can be arranged into groups according to the required quantity per pack. For tray-based packaging, an optional loading system positions buns in suitable trays before flow wrapping.
Individual buns or prepared groups enter the horizontal flow wrapper. Roll film forms around the products, followed by longitudinal and transverse heat sealing to complete the primary package.
Finished bun packs can be transferred to optional downstream case packing equipment and arranged in corrugated shipping cases according to pack dimensions and the required case layout.
Steps marked optional depend on the actual project configuration.
Choosing a solution
Compare the key factors that affect equipment selection and line configuration.
Confirm the bun shape, diameter, height, weight and softness before selecting the feeding system. Burger buns, dinner rolls and other soft buns may require different guiding and support arrangements to limit product deformation.
Review bun alignment, spacing, conveyor transfers and grouping requirements. The feeding arrangement depends on product dimensions, surface characteristics, softness and connection to upstream production equipment.
Define the required pack format, buns per pack, film specifications, tray dimensions if applicable and target finished packs per minute to determine the suitable wrapping and downstream equipment configuration.
Our approach
How we review product handling, equipment configuration and packaging line requirements.
Review product size, shape and handling requirements before selecting the packaging equipment.
Compare feeding, alignment, grouping and conveyor connections based on your production layout.
Discuss primary packaging, product handling and downstream equipment options according to your project requirements.
Share product samples, pack dimensions, target output and available factory space to review suitable equipment configurations.
Common questions
Answers to common questions about product handling, packaging formats and line configuration.
Bun packing machines can handle suitable burger buns, dinner rolls, sweet buns and other soft bakery products. The feeding and wrapping configuration depends on bun diameter, height, shape, surface texture and softness. Products with different dimensions or handling requirements may need adjustments or dedicated feeding components.
Soft buns require controlled conveyor transfers, product alignment and spacing. The feeding arrangement should minimize unnecessary contact, pressure and sudden drops that could deform the products. Bun samples and packaging trials help assess the handling requirements and determine a suitable conveyor and guiding configuration.
Depending on the equipment configuration, buns can be individually flow wrapped or arranged into groups before packaging. Tray-based packaging requires a suitable tray-loading system before horizontal flow wrapping. Finished packs can also be transferred to optional downstream case packing equipment.
One machine may handle different bun dimensions within its supported adjustment range. Changing between bun sizes can require adjustments to conveyor guides, product spacing, film width, bag length and sealing settings. Products with significantly different heights, shapes or pack quantities may require additional feeding components.
Buns should reach a suitable temperature and surface condition before packaging. Excess heat or residual moisture may cause condensation inside the package and affect product quality. Cooling requirements depend on the bun recipe, product characteristics, packaging film and intended storage conditions.
A bun packing line can be designed to connect with upstream cooling or production conveyors when the equipment interfaces are compatible. Conveyor height, incoming product arrangement, transfer method, production output and available factory space should be reviewed when planning the feeding and wrapping system.
Actual output depends on bun dimensions, incoming product flow, feeding consistency, quantity per pack and any grouping or tray-loading operations. In an integrated packaging line, the slowest connected stage limits the final output. Target capacity should be specified in finished packs per minute and confirmed against the proposed equipment configuration.
Please provide bun photos or videos, diameter, height, weight, product softness, required packaging format, quantity per pack and target output. Information about packaging film, upstream conveyors, factory layout and any required grouping, tray loading or case packing functions will help determine a suitable machine configuration.
Tell us what you pack, your preferred packaging format and your target output. We can review the requirements and discuss suitable equipment and line configurations.
